Synopsis

The Great Druids of Annun

The Great Druids of Annun are the heads of their druidic circles in the greater continent of Annun and the Isles of Gelmar and Cel.

The druidic heirarchy of Annun follows traditional druidic order, that of the Order of Ovates which includes Aspirants and Ovates, the Order of Initiates which includes all Initiates from the 1st Circle to the 9th Circle, and the Order of Druids which includes all ranks of Druids, Archdruids, Great Druids, and the Grand Druid.

The Order of Hierophants exists outside of the traditional rank-and-file leadership within the Druidic Faith, but they are highly respected nonetheless. There are few druids in the Order of Hierophants, and only the wisest and most powerful will become a leader among them and join the Cabal of Hierophants which is comprised the seven greatest of the Order of Hierophants.

In the continent of Annun there are up to six Great Druids at a time. Each one governs the faith in their druidic circle, the geographical area governed by the Great Druid that usually encompasses multiple countries. The following list shows the current Great Druids and the regions they have authority.

Great Druid Area of Authority

Lewenn Weyland, human male, (Druid 14), Servant of Silvanus - Authority over Aered Amon, Aered Bruien, and Eastfold

Walgar Oakleaf, human male, (Druid 14), Servant of Silvanus - Authority over Henneth Annun and Dorlomin

Assendia, human female, (Druid 14 / Ill 14 / Archmage 3), Servant of Mielikki - Authority over Erindor and Erebor, former Initiate of the Cabal and colleague of Ithryn Emrais

Finduilas, Tel'Lasien (Green Elf) female (Bard 3 / Druid 14 / Hierophant 5), Servant of Silvanus - Authority over Eorahn and Henneth Sonnun, former Initiate of the Cabal and colleague of Ithryn Emrais

Beregon, human male, (Druid 14), Servant of Mielikki - Authority over the Kingdom of Arnor, Isle of Cel, and the lands beyond the Iron Hills, but does not extend beyond the Elder Forest, former Initiate of the Cabal and colleague of Ithryn Emrais

The Great Borenthal the Red, human male, (Druid 14), Servant of Silvanus - Authority over the Empire of Rhune

Ilmárien, Tel'Uinaen (Grey Elf) female, (Druid 14 / Hierophant 5), Servant of Selene, of the House of Celedhring, Chosen of Selene - Authority over the Islands of Gelmar

Enariel, human female, (Druid 14), Servant of Finduilen - Authority over Dol Amroth and the lands extending up to the Great River of Andur and the High Mountains

The Elder Forest

Faerynn Enelduin, Tel'Lasien (Green Elf) male, (Druid 18), Servant of Silvanus - Authority over all the lands of the Green Elves under the rulership of Aeredhel, includes all of the Elder Forest and the lands beyond the High Mountains and the river Andur. Faerynn is technically a Hierophant Druid, but he claims he has refused a seat in the Cabal of Hierophants to remain in the Elder Forest as it's protector. Faerynn calls himself the Grand Druid of the Elder Forest despite the Great Druids of Annun denying him his claim stating that there is only ONE Grand Druid of Silvanus, Mielikki, Selene, and Finduilen, and he is Reidoth. Despite the inner conflict of titles, the Druids of Annun generally respect and admire Faerynn for his perseverance in keeping the Elder Forest safe, especially given it's proximity to the Great Crevasse and the Dark Tower. No less important is the admiration and approval of both Faeryl and Aeredhel in Faerynn's dedication to his people and the Elder Forest.

Faerynn can be arrogant at times, but he is generally easy to get along with and charismatic. Faerynn speaks with authority, both the authority of his position and the authority granted to him by Aeredhel, and he considers himself equal in power and rank with the Cabal. Even with Myrddin, Pheszeltan, and Shadowmoon, Faerynn will converse with them in a manner almost as though he is above them. They take his attitude of superiority with a light heart, all except Shadowmoon who is disgusted with his lack of humility.

Faerynn is tall, standing 6'6" with a lean but strong build. His skin is a copper-hued light tan complexion with dark brown hair and light-hazel eyes. He is long-limbed and somewhat known for his ability to walk with great strides to cover long distances quickly just by walking.

Stats

Str 17, Dex 20, Con 22, Int 17, Wis 29, Cha 15, App 17
